1. Her Burial Site Was Unknown For Decades
This is perhaps the biggest reason why, even 100 years later, people still believe that Anastasia survived the assassination in July 1918. Even though the graves with remains of most other Romanov family members were found in 1991, her burial site had not been conclusively found for decades.
Finally, in 2007, the last two separate grave were found whose DNA remains matched that of the rest of the Romanov graves – these have been reported to belong to Anastasia’s brother Alexei, and one of the four daughters.
