24. Soviet Union Banned Discussion Of Romanovs
After the Tsar rule was overthrown, the Communist Party was desperate to erase any memory of their family and life from the public’s consciousness. As a result, they banned any discussion, whether in public or private, about the Romanovs.
This may have also been because the Tsars were elevated to a God-like status by the Russian public over the years, who often worshipped and prayed for them.
