If you were fascinated by dinosaurs in your childhood, we’re sure you’ve heard of the Pterodactyl. (Yes, they were scary.)

Even though the Pterodactyl was often featured as a threat to the skies, it wasn’t as scary as the Quetzalcoatlus.

The Quetzalcoatlus was the largest animal ever to fly. Researchers have guessed its wingspan to be between 35 and 40 feet.

Plus, it featured a long neck along with a razor-sharp beak that added to its chilling appearance.

So, considering these creatures were the largest in the sky, they would have made for a pretty blood-curdling sight!
