Prehistoric Animals That We Are Glad Went Extinct

#23 Smilodon

The Saber-toothed Cat or the Smilodon was present on earth almost 13,000 years ago. It’s predicted that they lived close to or in NorthAmerica.

These creatures were unique and scary because of their bone-chillingly long fangs (between 6 and 7 inches long!).

Well, if you thought the scariest details were over, you’re up for another one. They used to hunt in packs! What’s more, their fangs were always out (even with their mouths shut!).

These scary species’ existence also most-probably overlapped with the existence of ancient humans.

These cats were also known to be exceptional hunters. So, we’re certain you wouldn’t want one turning up in your backyard anytime soon!
