Now picture an 18-foot long Komodo dragon that weighs 1,300 pounds! Yes, the Megalania was a reptile that fed on medium-sized and even large animals from time to time.

One attack from a Megalania was enough to take down species twice its size. Fortunately enough, this deadly lizard disappeared off the face of the earth 50,000 years ago.
