10. Getting Distracted By Own Creation
In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell invented the first working telephone, and singlehandedly changed the course of human history forever. Now people could communicate over long distances, whether they were hundreds or hundreds of thousands of miles away from each other.
So it’s quite amusing that he refused to have a telephone installed in his own study. The reason he gave was that he found his own invention quite distracting to his work! We don’t blame you, Mr. Bell, we find it impossible to stay away from our phones as well!
