7. Scaphism

Scaphism was an Ancient Persian execution method; there is a bit of discord over whether the method was used or was purely fictional as it is featured in Ancient Greek literature.

The procedure began with trapping the accused between two boats and spreading milk and honey all over their body and force-feeding them until they had diarrhea.

They would then decompose whilst being eaten by insects and other vermin, if they didn’t decompose they would die a slow death from exposure and dehydration.
