When we hear the word “serial killer”, the first thing that pops into our minds is an image of a loner with a sick mind. However, it’s not true in all cases. Harold Shipman, one of the most lethal serial killers in modern history, was a family man.
He’s said to have killed more than 215 people, mostly older women, during his career as a physician. He initially became a suspect of the murders when somebody noticed an unusually high number of cremation certificates signed under his name. However, it was only later when the daughter of his last victim testified against him that led him to prison.
