#25 The Yosemite Plate Negatives
Some boxes of glass plate negatives that antique enthusiast Rick Norsigian of Fresno purchased at a Pasadena garage sale in the year 2000 for $45, have been authenticated by photography experts as the work of Ansel Adams.
Ansel was a celebrated landscape photographer and environmentalist from California, USA.
David W. Streets, an art dealer from Beverly Hills displayed the plates in his gallery. According to him the images were taken between 1919 and the 1930s and are a missing link of Ansel Adams’ work. He estimates the collection is worth $200 million.
