30 Unreal Discoveries Unearthed By Ordinary People

Original Superman Comic

#12 Original Superman Comic

Profoundly known as The Man of Steel, Superman is a fictional Superhero of an American comic strip published by DC comics. In 2010, an American couple was about to lose their home when “Superman” literally saved them from getting homeless. The old couple was about to get evicted and were packing their old boxes in the attic when they found a box of vintage comics tucked away in the corner. They discovered the original copy of Action Comics#1 originally released in 1938. The original price on the comic was stamped only 10 cents which is roughly equivalent to $2 today.

The couple auctioned the mint copy and it sold for a whopping $1.5 million. Owners of Metropolis Collectibles Vincent Zurzolo and Stephen Fishler were the buyers of the book and claimed that there are about 99 more copies of the same edition still out there. They bought the comic in hopes that the value of the book will keep increasing in the coming years.
