#17 A Collection of Elizabeth and Jacobean Jewelry
A hoard of jewelry belonging to the late 16th and early 17th century was discovered by workmen in London. These men were excavating a cellar at 30-32 Cheapside, London. They discovered a wooden box filled with more than 400 pieces of Elizabeth and Jacobean Jewelry.
The box had various precious pieces of jewelry like rings, brooches, chains, gemstones, and many more antique items. There are many interesting tales related to the Cheapside Hoard that associates with forgery, fraud, skullduggery, and murder too. Currently, the Cheapside hoard is on display at the Museum of London.
