#20 Gold Pendant In Buried In A Field For 500 Years
Back in 2010, little did James Hyatt, a 4-year-old boy from Essex knew that while playing with his father’s metal detector he will find a medieval period’s gold pendant that is believed to be worth £2.5 million.
Authorities from the British Museum confirmed it weighs a third of an ounce (8.68g) and has a gold content of up to 73%. The locket has been declared a treasure trove at the inquest by the Coroner.
it is assumed to have dropped off accidentally back then. It’s surprising how it remained undiscovered in the field for nearly 500 years.
