#4 No Gambling While Studying
Back in the 19th century if you were a British, and a bookworm, then the library was perhaps not the best place to be at. In 1898, the British Parliament banned the public libraries for being used as a casual hangout place.
This was in retaliation of the raucous behaviour of the British people, who would use the library as a place for gambling and other rowdy activities. Even today, a person is not allowed to stay in the library post its closing time.
