#30 Animals Could Be Tried In Courts During Medieval Period
Perhaps this is the most ridiculous of all laws listed here. During the middle ages, stupid laws were rampant in Europe. Small creatures like mice usually faced milder penalties for spoiling grains or damaging churches.
Bigger animals such as horses and pigs, however, met a crueller fate. If the animal was found guilty of injuring or killing someone, then it would face a harsh penalty which would mostly be death. If the convicted animal was a pet, then the owner would face charges for negligence.
