Sure, the pyramids may seem a little mainstream, but the construction technique used to build these mammoth tombs still remains a mystery.
Just consider that 2 million limestone and granite blocks, weighing 2.5 tons each, were dragged through the sand to construct the Pyramid of Giza alone.
Aside from the problems of sourcing and transporting that much limestone, how were these blocks carried up the slope to complete the higher tiers of the Pyramid?
Even though it’s been 5,000 years since their construction, the pyramids continue to be one of the most baffling and beautiful monuments to ever grace the Earth.
