6. Nazca Lines
The Nazca lines (or drawings) are perhaps the largest piece of artwork ever attempted and were discovered back in 1930.
Some of the drawings, which can only be seen clearly from the sky, span over almost 200 miles and depict geometrical shapes, animals, and constellations.
It’s unsure whether the people called the Nazca drew these for their Gods, but the artwork is unbelievably well-done and precise even on such a large scale.
What’s truly astonishing is that this artwork is dated back to almost 500AD, and could only have been accomplished if someone was directing the work from above.
