Indus Valley Civilization

23. Indus Valley Civilization

The cities of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro were the two most prominent of the Indus Valley Civilization and are said to be almost 8,000 years old.

This was the earliest evidence of human settlement and civilization on the planet.

The Indus Valley is most mysterious for how advanced it was at a time when humans were just coming out of their hunter-gatherer lives.

They had elaborate drainage systems, a dockyard, a regular urban life, and even games like chess!

The citizens were also really into fashion, and many necklaces, earrings, and other ornamental pieces made from metals, stone, and even bones have been discovered in the region.
