20. Super Henge
The remains of a massive stone monument just 2 miles from Stonehenge was discovered by British archaeologists years after they found Stonehenge.
The structure is roughly 15 times the size of Stonehenge and contains many more of the large stone menhirs mentioned previously.
Historians believe that this was one of the first Neolithic monuments ever made and may even disprove a few of the theories surrounding the construction of Stonehenge.
It’s also bizarre that these massive rocks were placed in such regular intervals to create the structure; a feat that would have required machinery and scientific equipment, which was unavailable at the time.
