13. Stonehenge
Stonehenge is quite a popular ancient monument, and yet one whose mystery is yet to be solved.
This massive prehistoric construction consists of large stone boulders, or menhirs, piled in a peculiar, circular fashion.
The stones forming the inner ring of stonehenge come from the Presli mountains in Wales, almost 160 miles away from the original site of the construction.
And considering the size and weight of the stones it seems practically impossible that primitive man would have been able to lift the rocks up to construct the structure.
And they didn’t have any machines either. Is it possible that there were a race of giants alive at the time?
